Abstracts




AUTHOR‘S GUIDELINES

The papers submission for the FIA2020/22 will be carried out in two steps. In the first stage, the authors must submit abstracts for evaluation by the Scientific Committee of the event. In the second stage, the authors who had their abstracts accepted should submit the full paper for publication in proceedings of FIA 2020.

Abstracts must be submitted by 15/03/2022, through the restricted area of the event's website. For this, the interested author should register on the site by clicking here.

During the abstract submission process, the authors must inform the title of the paper, the abstract with up to 300 words, the authors and their affiliations, indicate the technical session where the paper best fits and the desired modality (talk or poster).  The scientific committee will analyze and define whether the paper will be accepted or not and define the mode of presentation. Some works may be changed to poster presentation depending on the number of submissions.

Abstracts and papers may be submitted in English, Portuguese or Spanish. English is preferred.
Changes to submitted abstracts may be made by the submission deadline, 15/03/2022.



THEMATIC AREAS AND TECHNICAL SESSIONS

During the abstract submission process, the authors should indicate the technical session where the paper best fits according to the list below.

After submission, the scientific committee may choose to change the technical session of the paper if it considers that it fits better with another session.



FULL PAPER

The full paper must be submitted by June 20, 2022 in PDF format. At least one of the paper’s authors must have paid the registration fee for the event to be included in the technical program and later in the proceedings of the event.
Notice: FIA2020/22 follows a one-paper, one-registration policy. This means that an author can submit multiple papers, but at least one payed registration fee must be linked to each paper. Authors of more than one paper must ensure that at least one of his co-authors of each of his additional papers   also register to the congress, or else must pay the Additional Paper Fee of R$ 150,00 (for each additional paper), in order to have the paper included in the congress program. Payment must be made through your restricted area by 20/06/2022.

 

ORAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

 

Oral presentations will last 12 minutes, followed by 2 minutes of discussion and 1 minute for changing the presenter. This time will be strictly controlled to allow for the correct functioning of parallel sessions. Presenters are required to arrive at least 1 hour before the session time scheduel in order to upload the Power Pointer or PDF presentation at the Media Desk. Early morning presentations must be uploaded at the Media Desk the day before.

Should the oral presentations involve videos and animations, these must be embedded in the presentation file. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that presentations work properly on the conference’s computers. For this reason, presenters are encouraged to test their presentations beforehand at the Media Desk.

The official languages ​​of the congress are Portuguese, Spanish and English, with the possibility of presentation in any of these languages.

IMPORTANT:  The use of personal computers during oral presentations will not be allowed to avoid session delays.

POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

 

Posters must be 90 cm wide and 120 cm high. Please, pay attention to these dimensions, as larger posters may exceed the available panel area. A poster should have the title, authors and respective affiliations, a summary of the work, introduction, methods, results, discussion and conclusions. The fonts used in the poster must allow for a proper reading.

Note: Posters should be brought with thread to facilitate hanging on the presentation area.
